Collette Creppell
Collette Creppell, AIA has over 25 years of experience as an architect and planner and currently serves as the university architect and director of campus planning for Tulane University (2003-present). Having trained in the architecture offices of Rafael Moneo, Ben Thompson & Associates, and Moshe Safdie in the U.S. and abroad, Ms. Creppell returned to New Orleans in 1994 to establish an architectural firm, Design for Public Spaces, and to teach as a clinical assistant professor at Tulane School of Architecture. A former planner in New York City, she served as Executive Director of the New Orleans City Planning Commission (2001-03). Ms. Creppell is Vice Chair of the Board of the New Orleans Building Corporation (a public benefit corporation) and serves on the Tulane's President's Administrative Council as well as the School of Architecture's Board of Advisors. She holds a Master of Architecture degree with distinction from the Harvard University Graduate School of Design (M.Arch I, 1990) and a Bachelor of Arts, cum laude, from Harvard College (Class of '82). She is married to Stephen Higginson; they have three wonderful children.
