Jennifer Tu Selected Orleans District Student of the Year
The Student of the Year Awards Program is designed to recognize outstanding elementary, middle/junior high and high school students. Patterned after the Teacher of the Year Awards Program, the student program recognizes students who have demonstrated exemplary academic achievement, leadership ability, and citizenship. The program is sponsored by the Louisiana State Superintendent through the State Department of Education and the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education.
Jennifer Tu has been selected to represent the orleans Parish District at the Regional competition. Her name will be submitted to the Regional Selection Committee Coordinator, along with supporting documents. The Regional Student Achievement Committee will conduct interviews and writing samples to determine the three regional winners, who will represent the region at the state competition.
