Franklin Students Continue to Score Top Science Honors
Two Franklin students received top awards at last week's GENIUS Environmental Project Olympiad in Oswego, New York. The competition featured students from over 50 countries.
Zoe Geauthreaux (Class of 2013) won a silver medal for her project, "The effectiveness of EDTA and pH on the phytoremediation of lead-contaminated soil using Brassica juncea."
Kinga Malkinska (class of 2013) won a gold medal for her project, "Inventing new mechanism for solar cells: semiconductor solar cell without p-n junction possible?"
Both students also received tablets from the Samsung Galaxy line as prizes.
