Statement of Purpose 

Taken from the By-Laws of the Benjamin Franklin High School Alumni Association 

It shall be the purpose of the Benjamin Franklin Senior High Alumni Association to further the interests of Franklin, its students, faculty, and alumni in the pursuit of the following goals: 

• Promotion and maintenance of the scholastic excellence of Franklin as a premier college preparatory institution; 
• Preservation and accentuation of the tradition and identity of Franklin within the New Orleans community; 
• Contributing to and influencing the planning, development, and programming of Franklin in order to preserve and promote the scholastic excellence, tradition, and identity of Franklin; 
• Providing the foundation and medium to afford Franklin students practical information and experience in specific vocational and career endeavors; and 
• Establishing a medium for the professional, cultural, and social enrichment and interaction of Franklin alumni.
