Carl Lacoste Wins 2010 New Orleans Music Educator Award

Carl Lacoste, orchestra and band teacher, was selected by the Greater New Orleans Orchestras(GNOYO) as a recipient of the 2010 New Orleans Music Educator award for his commitment to music education in the region. As a result he and his band/orchestra have been selected to participate in the GNOYO Sight Reading Collaborative(SRCNOLA) and the GNOYO School Outreach program in an effort to engage young musicians in the area and maintain and cultivate the musical heritage of New Orleans. Mr. Lacoste received a $1500 award to be used for professional development or supplies and equipment to enhance his program.
