Invisible Children Club Holds Fundraiser to Help School in UgandaBen Franklin High School's Invisible Children Club has a partner school in Uganda called Pabbo Secondary. This school is currently being rebuilt from the war and serves as a safe haven for learning and counseling for the students affected by the war in Uganda. Pabbo Secondary is currently working on building a new science lab and needs funds for the completion of the lab, including water and gas plumbing, new desks, fully stocked shelves, and the rebuilding of the library. The club is holding a fundraiser called Penny Wars from 11/15-11/19:
The goal is to raise at least $1000! If each student donates at least $2, not only will we reach our goal, but that student's grade will have a better chance of winning the challenge! We are inviting everyone to participate; teachers can help their homeroom grades, too! The winning grade will be announced during a concert in the courtyard at lunch! |
