The Goethe-Institute of New York organized and guided a “Study Tour for School Librarians” to Germany, for which Françoise McHugh was selected to participate. The Study Tour visited places of cultural, historical and professional interest (publishers of textbooks and materials for learners of the German language, many school and public libraries, the American library and the National library) in Berlin and Frankfurt.
