FIRST Robotics Team Gets Started
Members of the Ben Franklin FIRST Robotics team have begun work on this year's robot! The team will compete in the "Rebound Rumble" where a team of 3 will play "basketball" against opponents. This weekend the team, known as "The Borg" went to the Jumpstart initiative to begin work on the robot. Tthe team also went to Stennis Space Center for the FIRST kickoff 2012. Students competing in FIRST learn real world applications of mathematics and science as well as project management, fund raising, and how to work on a tight budget. This year's regional competition will be held March 15-17 at the Pontchartrain Center in Kenner, Louisiana.
