Grant Bourque Wins LACUE Award
Grant Bourque, a junior, has won the Louisiana Association of Computer Using Educators(LACUE) Louisiana Special Person of the Year award. This award is given to an outstanding volunteer,parent, or student who significantly contributes to a school's technology program.
Grant has been the leader of the Tech Team for the last 3 years. He has volunteered his time every day during his study hall to help teachers, students and administrators, with technology issues. He has imaged computers, recycled old computers, redesigned our entire school website this year in html5, and been a motivator for others to get involved.
Grant not only keeps everyone current on the newest technologies. He has worked for two summers helping get desktops and laptops ready for the coming year. He took it upon himself to make the school website more user-friendly and has spearheaded an initiative to allow students to use personal devices on campus.
