Franklin Students Participate in Beach Sweep
On Saturday, September 17th, 33 Ben Franklin High School students students participated in Lake Pontchartrain Basin Foundation's (LPBF) 22nd annual Beach Sweep. Close to 2,000 New Orleanians joined forces to not only clean the beach but also clearing streets and storm drains. Franklin students collected 31 bags of trash from London Ave. to Elysian Fields and Leon C. Simon to Mirabeau Ave. These students were part of a nationwide effort to clean the nation's waterways and areas that drain into those waterways. For more information on LPBF...
