The Ben Franklin High School Parents' Association is dedicated to the continued success of our students by providing funding for a wide range of activities during the school year.

Executive Board Offices

President

Josephine Everly

President - Coordinates the agenda for and presides over any meetings of the Members or of the Executive Committee and serves as a liaison between the Association and the administration of the School.

Vice President

Shannon Daigle

Vice President - Performs the duties of the President in his/her absence and assumes the office of President should the President not be able to complete his term.  Acts as planning officer with President.  Attends and represents Parents’ Association at other Franklin meetings.

Secretary

Victoria Simosa

Secretary - Records and distributes the minutes of all general and Executive Committee meetings and sends notices of any meetings of the Members or of the Executive Committee.

Treasurer

Nancy Chandler

Treasurer - Organizes and reports all financial activity of the Parents’ Association in cooperation with the Ben Franklin High School Chief Financial Officer.  Reports to the Executive Committee and the Members on the status of the funds accrued and disbursed by the Association.

 

 

 

Grade Level Representatives

 

Grade Level Representatives - Responsible for communication between the Executive Committee and the parents of the students for the relevant grade.  Each Grade Level Representatives will participate in the fundraising activities and in the coordination of volunteers for the grade which he/she represents.

Gathers forms of new and returning students’ contact info and create an updated school directory (May-Sept); updates electronic student directory; works in cooperation with Franklin Technology Department  to update Parent Association information on the website.

Community Relations

Act as publicity chair for BFPA events and programs and the annual Fruehlingsfeier, gathers school/student info to dispense to the N.O. community, and parent newsletter; attends monthly meetings.

Fruehlingsfeier Silent Auction Chair and Co-Chair  Works in collaboration with the Fruehlingsfeier Committee and Development Office to plan, solicit items for, and execute the annual silent auction (December – late spring).

Fundraising Chair
Works with our Parents’ Association to identify tactical and strategic projects that the organization can sponsor and raise funds for.  An example would be the Ben’s Blend (coffee) project.   Ensures that financials are kept for all events and proper receipts and documentation are provided to the PA Treasurer to be incorporated into the financial statements.
